The cops are after Superman

Police are hunting Superman in connection with the theft of a high-value watch.

His name is Superman Rostas and he took flight with the watch from jewellers Andrew Michaels.

Rostas, 25, is a Romanian national with connections to the West Midlands and Birmingham areas.

On June 19, Rostas entered Andrew Michaels Jewellers in Stodman Street, Newark at around 1.20pm.

Nottinghamshire Police say, posing as a genuine customer he managed to steal the Swiss-made Chopard watch - worth around £21,000 - using distraction techniques before leaving the premises.

Officers investigating the theft have released this CCTV still in the belief the public can help find Rostas.

Pc Marc Taylor, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The image of Rostas is very clear.

"We are appealing for anyone who has seen him or has any information on his whereabouts to get in touch.”
