The WI meeting at Coddingtonvillage hall
MAY’S meeting combined with the annual meeting.
The group is collecting items to send to the Ukraine, with a member acting as a conduit to get items to their destination.
May also featured a walk, followed by pub lunch. Walks and trips are open to other WI members, friends and partners.
It was decided to hold a monthly coffee morning so members can chat. The first, at The Inn On The Green, was very successful.
At the June meeting new president Gill Southgate called for a silence for members who had died during the pandemic.
Andrew Barber spoke about beekeeping and took some bees and jars of honey.
The meeting ended with a toast to the Queen and the National Anthem.
July’s speaker recounted the history of the National Gardens Scheme and detailed open gardens.
Meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month at 2pm at the village hall.
