Southwell Town Council announce felling of diseased tree in War Memorial Park

A council has announced that a large tree will be felled tomorrow (Wednesday) in a town park.

Southwell Town Council has announced that a yew tree on the War Memorial Park will be felled tomorrow.

It said the tree had been assessed by tree surgeons, who determined it needs to be felled due to disease.

The tree is on at the south side of the park and is said to be dead.

The footpath in the park, leading to the Minster School, will be closed while the work is carried out.
