Tribute paid to Forest fan who died at the age of 56
A father-of-two and an avid Nottingham Forest fan’s death is being investigated by Nottinghamshire Police.
Mr Paul ‘Ducksy’ O’Donnell, 56, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre after he was found at home at Smith Street, Balderton, around 11.10pm on Friday.
He was in a critical condition but died overnight last night.
Police told the Advertiser inquiries are ongoing as to how Mr O’Donnell came by his injuries.
The Newark branch of the Nottingham Forest Supporters Club tweeted: “Newark has lost a true gent.
“Paul was a true Forest fan and father of two.
“Ducksy followed Forest from an early age and was a true Red.”
Nottinghamshire Police said: “Police are investigating the circumstances as to how a man sustained injuries at a property in New Balderton on Friday night.
“Inquiries are ongoing.”
