A-levels 2025: Tuxford Academy, part of Diverse Academies Trust, reveal impressive A-level grades




An academy’s principal has hailed a ‘proud day’ for its A-level students after achieving an A level pass rate of 98.3% overall.

Students at Tuxford Academy, part of Diverse Academies Trust, gathered to open their long-awaited A-level results this morning (Thursday), and the academy has announced that 23% of students gaining grades equivalent to A* to A, with the average grade for all students is a B.

One of this year’s top performers was Seth Green achieving A* in politics and history and A in psychology. He will be heading to Manchester University to study history and politics. Seth said: ‘I’m excited for the future and it’s a bonus to get into my first choice of university.”

The academy has also extended congratulations to Georgia Cole after she achieved A* in geography, and grade A in sociology and BTEC criminology. Georgia said: “Thank you to the teachers.”

Seth Grayson celebrated this morning after gaining impressive grade A in maths, chemistry and physics. Seth said: ”I’d like to thank Mr Wray for being the best teacher.” Seth is going to study physics at Bristol University.

Further congratulations were in order for Idris Uddin, after achieving grade A in maths, chemistry and physics. He will be studying nuclear engineering at Lancaster University. Idris commented: “The teaching and support staff are very supportive, helpful and kind both in the good and bad times.”

Another superb result was achieved by Alex Dyer. He achieved grade A maths, further maths and computer science. Alex will be going to York University to study computer science and maths. Alex said: “This end is a new beginning.”

Reflecting on the results, Jon Hardy, principal, said: “This is a proud day for our academy and for every one of our students. The results are the outcome of sustained effort, determination and a positive approach to learning. I am delighted to see such a wide range of individual successes, each representing a personal story of ambition and perseverance.
