New coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Saturday, January 1) according to Public Health England
There have now been been 23,733 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures released by Public Health England.
Ashfield 26,341 (up 393) Bassetlaw 23,560 (up 455) Broxtowe 22,760 (up 342) Gedling 25,560 (up 385) Mansfield 22,966 (up 289) Newark and Sherwood 23,733 (up 372) Rushcliffe 25,010 (up 329) Nottingham city 72,536 (up 878) Nottinghamshire 169,930 (up 2,565).
In the last seven days there have been 1,471 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood.
In the latest 24-hour period, there have been two new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 248.
According to the latest public data, 12,937,886 (up 189,846) patients in the UK have tested positive and 148,624 (up 203) people have died within 28 days of positive test.
