307 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Sunday, January 2) according to Public Health England




There have now been been 24,040 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Newark and Sherwood during the course of the pandemic, according to the latest figures released by Public Health England.

Ashfield 26,727 (up 386) Bassetlaw 23,901 (up 341) Broxtowe 23,073 (up 313) Gedling 25,904 (up 344) Mansfield 23,254 (up 288) Newark and Sherwood 24,040 (up 307) Rushcliffe 25,333 (up 323) Nottingham city 73,321 (up 785) Nottinghamshire 172,232 (up 2,302).

In the last seven days there have been 1,548 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been two new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, meaning a total at 250.

According to the latest public data, 13,100,458 (up 162,572) patients in the UK have tested positive and 148,778 (up 154) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to December 31 is 51,771,476 (up 92) the number with the second dose is 47,412,342 (up 161) and the booster 33,927,775 (up 3,037).
