Number of coronavirus cases in Newark and Sherwood reaches 11,485 today (Sunday, August 22) according to Public Health England




A total of 51 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 13,887 (up 73) Bassetlaw 12,405 (up 62) Broxtowe 10,961 (up 51) Gedling 12,724 (up 60) Mansfield 12,087 (up 75) Newark and Sherwood 11,485 (up 51) Rushcliffe 11,635 (up 52) Nottingham city 43,858 (up 165) Nottinghamshire 85,184 (up 424).

In the last seven days there have been 439 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up 16 cases.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been no new deaths reported in the district within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 209.

According to the latest public data, 6,460,930 (up 32,058) patients in the UK have tested positive and 131,591 (up 104) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to August 20 is 47,573,794 (up 57,289) and the total for the second dose is 41,496,576 (up 164,448).
