What's on: Newark-on-Sea urban beach events happening this weekend
There's plenty happening this weekend at the beach in Newark market place.
The Newark-on-Sea beach will see a host of summery activities take place, making sure that visitors will have fun in the sun as the town is due to bask in over 30C weather.
Saturday will be Disco Day with a Radio Newark DJ keeping the music coming.
Live performances from one of Newark’s best male vocalists, Ant McAndrew, will take place at 11.00am as well as steel pans band, Steelgen, who will be bringing the summer vibes with tropical sounds and shirts throughout the day.
Those interested in more traditional beach entertainment can catch a Punch and Judy puppetry show or fend off the Seagulls Walkabout performer — watch your chips.
Budding builders will also have the chance to show off their skills in a sandcastle competition judged by the Mayor Of Newark, Laurence Goff.
Sunday will be a more relaxed affair with free face painting and musical entertainment courtesy of rising star, singer Chloe Hind, who will be performing between 11.00am and 1.30pm.
