Newark Palace WI holds meeting at new meeting place of Howes Court Community Hall

Newark Palace WI held its December meeting at its new meeting place of Howes Court Community Hall.

Speaker Clive Rudd entertained with songs from the Sixties and Seventies on his guitar, including some Christmas favourites.

Vivienne Hall, from the group, said it was a lovely start to the Christmas period.

Members enjoyed refreshments served by two members.

The competition was for a decorated Christmas parcel, the contents of which weren’t to exceed £3. These decorated parcels formed Christmas Secret Santa gifts for members.

The winning parcel was by Norma Hall.

Newark Palace WI meets on the first Monday of each month, with the exception of January, at Howes Court from 2pm to 4pm. Visitors are welcome.
