Newark Palace WI members take a trip down memory lane

The monthly meeting of the Newark Palace Women’s Institute was a trip down memory lane.

Members took along in their childhood photos, and there was also a memory box of toys that triggered a lot of memories of school and playtime activities.

For the competition, members brought their own childhood keepsake.

The winners were Anne King and Sue Smith.

Vera Carter and Sue Hobby were second with Jean Scarr in third place.

For refreshments there were drinks and homemade cakes.

Members discussed the WI resolution, which is to be put forward to conference.
