Newark FC and Collingham to contest Newark Alliance Covid Cup final on Sunday (May 23)
The final of the Covid Cup will be contested on Sunday between Newark FC and Collingham.
Newark FC overcame White Hart 4-2 in their semi-final, while Collingham beat Claypole 3-1 in the other clash.
Strikes from Gary Clark and Ollie Wilcox and substitute Matt Evans gave Collingham the victory while Chris Dobbie scored Claypole’s consolation.
In the other semi-final, Ryan Philbourgh, Tyler Martin, Arron Martin and Danny Lee scored to put Newark FC into the final.
Luke White got both goals for White Hart.
The final takes place at 10.30am on Sunday at Collingham.
In the best of the rest, White Hart will play Claypole to decide third and fourth place in the competition, Rose and Crown face Holy Trinity in the fifth and sixth place play-off, while Laxton and Newark FC will compete for seventh and eighth place.
These games also take place on Sunday morning.
Two goals apiece from Callum Barnes, Daryl Price and substitute Zak Shephard, along with strikes from Fraser Hallam, Luke McClymont and Jake Asman gave Rose And Crown an 9-0 win over Newark FC.
Holy Trinity was awarded the win over Laxton.
A hat-trick for Adam Boddy and a Jordan Boas brace gave RHP a 5-2 win over Old Magnusians, to confirm their ninth-place finish.
Rhys Watson scored twice for Magnusians, who finish tenth.
FC Genes were awarded the win over Newark Cavaliers for 11th place.
A brace from Kieran Job and a goal from Jimmy Rusby gave Newark Town a 3-2 win over RHP Reserves, for whom Josh Osbourn and Darik Samson were the scorers.
As a result, Newark Town finished 13th and RHP Reserves 14th.
East Bridgford were 7-3 winners over Barkestone thanks partly to a Bassey Okon hat-trick and two own goals in the 15th and 16th-place play-off match.
Walesby were awarded the win over Robin Hood for 17th place.
Holy Trinity Reserves beat Witham 5-2 in the 19th/20th-place play-off thanks to strikes by Will Muir (2) Sam Ford, Morgan Raynor, and Harvey Raynor.
Sutton-on-Trent finished 21st and Fernwood 22nd.
