Trew's call to arms for 'Survival Saturday'
Notts County Chairman Ray Trew has issued a rallying call to all supporters ahead of what the club are branding “Survival Saturday” this weekend.
The Magpies take on npower League One champions Brighton & Hove Albion at Meadow Lane on Saturday, knowing a win will guarantee survival.
With both Walsall and Dagenham & Redbridge ready to pounce, Notts need all the support they can get against a Brighton team that have already wrapped up the league title this season.
Mr Trew is calling on every fan to get to Meadow Lane to what promises to be a tense but fantastic atmosphere.
He said: “There’s no hiding from the fact that this is make or break time for Notts.
“The manager is getting the players prepared and keeping them focused on the task in hand, but it is down to us, as fans, to do our part and turn out in numbers for this massive, massive game.
“We saw against Manchester City just how much of a lift a packed Meadow Lane can give the team and we need that backing now more than ever.
“Our destiny is in our own hands, a win will guarantee League One football, so I'm calling on every Notts fan to show their colours and get behind the team when they need you most.”
The game against Brighton kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.
