The action returns to the Newark Palace Theatre stage next week after a summer break with a packed programme of autumn entertainment.

Launching the new season is a firm favourite at the Palace, Dominic Kirwan.

Joining the Irish crooner, who has been entertaining his fans for more than 25 years, on his latest tour is one of Ireland’s top female vocalist Lisa Stanley.

They bring their own inimitable style to the vast and rich musical heritage of their homeland as they perform various musical styles, including pop, country and rock n roll.

The duo are at the Palace on Saturday, at 7.30pm.

Another popular show making a return to the Palace is Beyond The Barricade, which is at the venue a week tomorrow.

The show has been entertaining audiences throughout the UK and Europe for nearly 20 years.

It features former principal performers from Les Misérables recreating original West End and Broadway hit musicals.

They include Miss Saigon, Chicago, Phantom Of The Opera, Wicked, Mamma Mia and Jersey Boys.

Every note is played and sung live by the talented cast.

Children’s favourite characters and presenters are back on the road with a new Milkshake! Live.

This all-singing, all-dancing, musical show will take young audiences on a journey through some of the world’s favourite fairytales.

It stars Milkshake! favourites Bob The Builder, Little Princess, Noddy, Fireman Sam, Shimmer And Shine, Pip from Pip Ahoy!, Winnie and Wilbur, Wissper, Milkshake’s very own Milkshake! Monkey.

There will also be two presenters from the Channel 5 show joining them on stage.

Set among Milkshake’s magical bookcase, the cast will be singing songs and sharing stories that audience members — young and old — will know and love.

There will be plenty of opportunities for audience participation too.

The show runs for one hour 50 minutes, which includes a 20-minute interval.

There are two performances at the Palace on Saturday, September 16, at noon and 4pm.
