Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra to give Southwell Minster performance




There is a performance by Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra in the surroundings of Southwell Minster on Saturday evening (June 24).

They will be joined by soloist Magdalena Riedl on violin.

Conducted by Mark Heron, the programme will featire Svendsen’s Norwegian Rhapsogy No 3, Sibelius’ Violin Concerto and Brahms’ Symphony No 1.

Tickets are available from the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra website or the minster shop.

Tomorrow’s Friday Lunchtime Concert is by Bingham and District Choral Society.

Between 1.30pm and 2.25pm, they will be performing Songs And Sonnets From Shakespeare by George Shearing and Birthday Madrigals by John Rutter.

Admission is free but there will be a retiring collection for the Minster Organ Scholarship fund.
