Patriotic fun

The Ransome Reunion Band will raise the roof with plenty of fun, patriotic tunes for all ages at this year’s Last Night Of The Proms at the Palace Theatre, Newark, a week on Saturday at 7.30pm.
Newark Twinning Association chairman Rita Crowe said: “We are once again proud to be able to hold this successful event in the Palace.
“In June we will celebrate our 30th anniversary of friendship with Emmendingen and 20 years with St Cyr Sur Loire. We will receive visitors from our three twin towns.
“We are hoping that some music groups will visit to help us celebrate and take part in the Newark Carnival. Money raised helps to pay for entertaining our guests while in Newark.”
