Popular jazz sessions make welcome return
Due to its ever increasing popularity, Commuter Jazz is back at the Zing Café at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre.
For more than two years, the university, LPAC, the café and many keen supporters have helped to make this event one of the foremost free regular jazz spots in Lincoln.
Artists have been appearing regularly from Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and London.
Starting tomorrow from 5pm to 7pm, the new season begins with a performance from Mr And Mrs Jones.
Rachael Foster and Paul Deats will play pieces from the American Songbook.
Rachael, who has been likened to Tracey Thorn and Sade, has toured America with Weekend Players, earning Billboard Chart success at number three and reaching number one in the dance chart.
She also collaborated with local hero’s Bent, Shod and Crazy P to name but a few.
Paul is a jazz, funk, and blues pianist. He has toured Europe and the UK.
He is an inventive arranger and composer making him a much sought after player, performer and collaborator.
