Guz Khan Live, Miles Jupp On I Bang and Bi-Curious George’s Queer Planet bring comedy to Nottingham Playhouse

From drag kings to BAFTA nominees, a trio of comedians are set to get audiences laughing over the next month.

Taking to the stage at Nottingham Playhouse will be Guz Khan, Miles Jupp, and Bi-Curious George.

First up is Guz Khan with his show Guz Khan Live, which will be at the venue on Thursday (January 25).

The BAFTA-nominated comedian will bring the hilarity of his appearances on the big screen to his stand-up performance.

Alongside his own show, BBC’s Man Like Mobeen, he’s appeared on Taskmaster, The Last Leg, Live at the Apollo, Would I Lie To You and many more.

Following in his footsteps into the Playhouse is Miles Jupp, who will be on stage on Friday (January 26).

The actor and comedian will be telling tales of surprise, fear, luck, love and qualified medical practitioners — brought about by his own experience with a brain tumour.

Since his last tour finished at the London Palladium in 2017 Miles Jupp has made an award-winning radio series, published a novel and starred in a number of TV shows, but is now back on stage for his latest comedy show, On I Bang.

Rounding off the upcoming comedy line-up is London drag king Bi-Curious George, who presents Queer Planet.

The show is set to be a raucous celebration of the animal kingdom, exploring everything from gay giraffes to transgender fish through drag, stand up comedy, and songs.

It is a parody of and a homage to Britain’s beloved nature documentaries, drawing on Bi-Curious George’s work on queer ecology and queerness in the natural world.

The show will take over the venue on Friday, February 2.
