Your chance to join a Steampunk circus
A Steampunk circus meets an Anime Adventure in a new mad-cap production, Stinxville, that is being performed at Norwell Village Hall on Saturday.
The show, staged by Arletty Theatre, features five crazy characters singing, dancing and drawing the audience into their strange world.
It is in the tradition of travelling mummers and village festivals and features entertaining storytelling with songs and music, and plenty of energy.
The action takes place in the Wicked City and follows a quest for cake and glory.
The audience moves between five mini-theatre sets where the characters encounter comedy mishaps.
There is a music-hall theatre, a prison cell and a Victorian courtroom, and the audience moves from one to the other, learning simple songs and a dance as well as becoming the jury in a trial.
Characters include the hapless Little Pleb who finds his fortune then loses it, The Wicked Taylor and Can Can troupe The Crazy Janes.
Arletty Theatre’s previous shows include Swan Canaries and Quilter And The Ghost.
Stinxville is at Norwell Village Hall on Saturday, from 7.30pm.
It is suitable for anyone aged ten and over.
Tickets cost £11 (£5.50 under-18s) from Brenda’s Norwell store or by calling 01636 636691.
