An application to change the use of the Grange Hotel, on London Road, Newark, was discussed by Newark Town Council’s planning committee.
The proposal, which will be decided by Newark and Sherwood District Council, seeks approval for a change of use to either offices, general industrial, residential, or non-residential, which could include day nurseries.
David Lloyd, planning committee member, suggested the committee object to the industrial use of the property as there could be noise pollution for local residents.
