Asda has announced that it has passed on the cut in fuel duty to customers with immediate effect.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced in yesterday's Spring Statement, which Asda passed straight on to its customers.
The supermarket chain, which has a petrol station in Newark, will reduce the price at the pumps by 6p per litre, which includes a 1p reduction in VAT.
The new prices were implemented yesterday evening.
It means that motorists will see unleaded move back below 160p per litre and diesel to 170ppl.
