Helen held the event in support of the charity, as dementia is something that has affected her own family.

She said: “It was brilliant, to say the weather was absolutely rubbish we did really well.”

Over the course of the day around 50 people dropped by, with the final count of donations revealing £200 had been collected.

To keep in with the royal celebrations over the bank holiday weekend, Helen decorated her house in red, white and blue, and even had some coronation themed cakes.

A raffle held by Helen had already raised £140 for the charity, which provides specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia.
