Nottinghamshire County Council programme named winner of The Times Education Supplement Further Education Awards




An educational service in Nottinghamshire has won a national award for its outstanding provision.

Nottinghamshire County Council is the winner of the adult and community learning provider of the year in The Times Education Supplement Further Education Awards.

The awards recognise the most outstanding individuals and institutions in the further education sector.

The county council’s programme, delivered by Inspire Learning, was described by judges as being ahead of the game in delivering learning for adults in a community setting.

Inspire Learning delivers a range of learning services on behalf of the county council and the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

A charitable community benefit society, Inspire Learning delivers educational services for the community, enabling people to develop skills by following courses tailored to their needs. It was also shortlisted for outstanding GCSE re-sits provision.
