A-levels 2025: South Nottinghamshire Academy celebrates outstanding results
An academy is celebrating the ‘amazing achievements’ of its sixth formers as they secured ‘outstanding’ results in their A-levels.
Students have gathered at South Nottinghamshire Academy, part of the Redhill Academy Trust, to find out their A-level results and other examination qualifications.
Anna Cox, head of the school’s sixth form, said: “Students and staff have worked extremely hard to secure some of the Academy’s most outstanding results.
“It is so pleasing to see students gain their places at prestigious universities or progress to their destination of choice in employment or training.
Among the high-flying students were Ava Creagh, who achieved A*A*A with an A* in EPQ (Extended Project Qualification), and will be studying English at the University of Cambridge.
Elin Evans achieved A*AA with an A* in EPQ and will be studying mechanical engineering at the University of Sheffield.
Also going to the University of Sheffield is Aidan King, who got ABB grades and will be studying economics, and Iwan Marl gained A*AB and will be studying business management at the same university.
Jenson Ward gained A*BB and will be studying geography at the University of Plymouth, and Honor Fry gained A*AA and will be studying geography at the University of Edinburgh.
Sophia Swatton gained ABB and will be studying psychology at the University of Northumbria and Marissa Bulloch gained AAB and will be studying psychology at the University of Liverpool.
Dan Philpotts, the school’s headteacher said: “We are immensely proud of our sixth form students, who have demonstrated commitment and resilience in achieving these outstanding results.
“Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure that students progress onto further education and employment with universities as far reaching as Northumbria to Plymouth.
“Well done to everyone – your success is well deserved.”
