Newark Advertiser area court listings include disqualified driver who gave false details




Among this week's Advertiser-area court listings are a disqualified driver who gave false details and a motorist driving under influence of cannabis.

A DISQUALIFIED driver caught travelling southbound on the A46 at Kneeton received a suspended prison sentence at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.

Magistrates gave Adam Watson, 37, a suspended sentence of 18 weeks because of his previous record, the fact he was driving again shortly after disqualification, the significant distance he’d travelled and because he gave false details.

Watson, of Walesby Lane, Ollerton, admitted driving without insurance and breaching a conditional discharge imposed for an act of criminal damage.

He was further banned for 18 months and told to pay £213 costs.

A MOTORIST who failed to give a specimen of breath for analysis was fined £1,000 and disqualified for 136 days.

Lee Longmoor, 37, of Second Avenue, Edwinstowe, pleaded guilty and must also pay £185 costs.

A DRUG-DRIVER was fined £370 and banned from getting behind the wheel for a year.

Oliver Cresswell, 20, of Battle Close, Newton, had an excessive amount of cannabis in his system.

He also admitted possession of the drug.

He must pay £122 costs.
